➜ Knowing what it’s like to be left out of the action, Jeremy has become incrediblycourageous, and is quick to volunteer for missions.
➜ With his family gone and away from the home he once knew as Mystic Falls, the young Gilbert tends to be lonely, though he doesn’t speak of it often.
➜ With the death of his Aunt Jenna and sister, Elena Gilbert at the hands of the supernatural, as well as other loved ones, Jeremy has a side of him that is vengeful and ready to take out the supernatural he now resents. He’ll do what it takes and has becomeresourceful.

the past

Jeremy Gilbert knows what it means to lose it all, after Elena’s death he truly felt like he had no one left in the world. He’d lost his parents, Jenna, Alaric, and then finally Elena. The supernatural had destroyed their lives, that world had taken everything from him and he wanted nothing more then revenge. He blamed the Salvatore’s at first, that if it hadn’t been for them Elena would have never been in danger and after trying to kill them and once more failing, Jeremy felt helpless. All he wanted was his family back but he knew there was nothing he could do about that.
He made the effort to move on, but soon found that he wasn’t as alone as he thought he was. When he discovered that a secret military group called the Initiative was following him he was insistent on joining the cause. After a little convincing they allowed him to become a part of something bigger giving Jeremy a purpose for the first time in a long time. Being allowed to help helpless human’s like himself against the supernatural that once terrorized him was empowering and he was determined to give his friend Matt that same kind of empowerment. He believes whole heartedly in everything the Initiative stands for and hopes that some day they will be able to finally put an end to the supernatural in this world, starting with Klaus. His despise has only grown for the elder vampire in times.

the present

Is currently attending NYU where he runs into a old friend April Young, and enjoys her company but tries to keep her from getting too close to certain friends like Rebekah Mikaelson.
Has maintained a very close friendship with Matt Donovan over the years and has recently grown close Charlie Parker and looks up to him as an older brother figure.
Has found Tyler Lockwood in the city, and is conflicted over the respect and semi-friendship they once had built, and his own current resentment of all the supernatual.
Met Evelyn Taylor and at first, he thoroughly enjoyed her company- finding her to be sweet, but most recently, he’s come across files in the initiative labeling her a suspected werewolf, and if they find proof, he knows she’ll have a target on her back.
Finds some comfort in other Initiative members such as Piper Harrison andMolly Evans, knowing he can count on them. Though he has to admit, Piper’s younger sister, Stella Harrison, is cute- despite how much she badgers him and Matt to let her get involved in missions.
Wants absolutely nothing to do with either Salvatore brother, but has noticed that Damon Salvatore seems to look out for him in his own way- even though he somewhat resent this.
